Changes have been made by the FDA on feed grade and water-soluble antibiotics. Many antibiotics have been shifted from over-the-counter status to being available only under veterinary recommendation. A Veterinary feed directive is a prescription for medicated feed from a veterinarian that has a working relationship with the owner of the animals and the animals being treated. We work with your feed mill to provide instructions on how much medicated feed to offer and for how long.
